The Alliance Care Sector based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) is a 3 week course designed to give local Hero’s the skills and knowledge to work in the care industry.
You will receive a guaranteed interviewwith Alliance Living Care upon successful completion of the programme. Start date for the next programme is 27/09/21.

We are looking for kind, enthusiastic, and compassionate colleagues who want to finish their working day knowing they have made a big difference to people’s lives. We’re a friendly team of carers who provide high quality, tailored care for people living in their home or in one of our extra care communities. All our customers are unique, and we make sure their care is tailored to them. Support can range from help with shopping and housework to assistance showering, bathing and dressing.
In our customer’s homes, we provide services between 7am – 10pm over a variety of shift patterns. Both full and part time positions available and you do not need to be a driver for some of the vacancies we have available.
What do you need to have?
Previous experience is not essential as we offer an initial paid shadowing period and on-the-job training allowing you to become confident in working with us. To work in our customer’s homes, you will need to be able to work some evenings and alternate weekends
Passion to provide great, high quality consistent care and support to our customers in their homes.

What will I learn?
This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to enter the care industry, including a recognised qualification in care. Learners who successfully complete the course will be shortlisted for an interview with Alliance Living Care.
Weeks one and two will be delivered in a classroom at the South West Skills Campus Locking Road. Week three will be delivered at the Winter gardens – Weston

What is it like working as a carer?

When is the next Care Academy? The next care academy starts on the 27/09/21 at Weston College, South West Skills Campus.
