A milestone in the route out of lockdown was reached earlier this week when restrictions were eased to allow more opportunities to meet loved ones.

We can now meet in groups of six indoors and up to 30 outdoors but a word of caution is still needed.

Evidence shows the vaccine is working but the emerging Indian variant is a reminder that the virus is still circulating and we need to stay cautious.

As we move on from the pandemic, arts and culture will play a big part in creating unique identities for places and help them to grow and prosper.

In Weston, an exciting new three-year cultural project has just been announced.

It also remains important to keep our areas clean and pleasant for everyone, which is why we’re introducing a crackdown on littering and dog fouling from next week.

Also from next week, we’ll only be collecting garden waste from those who have registered for the new service.
