Whirligig! Festival of Outdoor Arts
10-12 September

This weekend Theatre Orchard’s wacky and wonderful Whirligig returns to some of Weston’s open spaces with a jam-packed, bumper of seaside spectacles at Italian Gardens and Grove Park. And this year is our biggest line up yet with guaranteed free fun for all the family. Whether it’s dance, circus, music, puppets or theatre that makes you happy, we have it all – plus some out-there performances that defy any label. We’ll also have a bar, selling local ales, ciders, soft drinks and more. Come along for the party – everyone is welcome to join in!

Weston Arts + Health Week 2021
18-26 September

Culture Weston has teamed up with University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) once again for over 45 free events and creative activities across Weston. The Weston Arts + Health Week programme provides a host of experiences that offer time and space to reflect, as well as many shared opportunities to boost the health and wellbeing of people taking part – that’s you!  Don’t miss Luke Jerram’s stunning ‘In Memoriam’ artwork on Weston beach, originally commissioned by Culture Weston and UHBW in 2020 and coming ‘home’ after a national tour. ‘In Memoriam’ plays host to a range of uplifting and moving arts events throughout the week.  These include a collaboration between the internationally acclaimed Studio Wayne McGregor and dancers from Weston College, a new song commission performed by a specially formed NHS Choir, and a torch-lit procession marking the invaluable contribution of NHS staff and care workers over the past 18 months.
