Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANS), with the support of Weston-super-Mare Town Council, is seeking to gain the best possible understanding of the help and support that is currently needed to help the communities in Weston and North Somerset recover from the current crisis.

Have Your Say –

We want to find out more about the experiences and concerns of local people and organisations and your feedback is essential in helping us to identify the areas of greatest need. This will help ensure that we can best represent the communities and organisations we work with at strategic level.

The Boards we sit on include:

  • The North Somerset Partnership Board, which provides strategic leadership, oversight and co-ordination of shared priorities and common goals that improve the quality of life and outcomes for people living, working and visiting North Somerset.
  • Health and Wellbeing Board, which provides senior strategic oversight of health and wellbeing matters across North Somerset
  • Integrated Health Networks for Woodspring and Weston, which provides a partnership approach in localities to enable people to stay well and independent in their communities
  • Etc…

Your feedback will help direct our work with the forums we facilitate:

  • North Somerset Leaders Forum
  • Children and Young People’s VCSE Forum
  • Volunteers Coordinators Network

Your feedback will inform the funding we seek for the VCSE sector in Weston and North Somerset, so we are all in the best possible position to meet the challenges ahead.

Your feedback will be used to guide the work of the VCSE sector and provide the right support.

Your feedback will be used to prepare fully anonymised, aggregated data reports to help all organisations involved in community recovery.

We are working with Redport to deliver this consultation, and we are very grateful to Commonplace for their support to communities during the COVID-19 crisis, in particular for their generous provision of free access to their platform to support community recovery.

The Commonplace interactive platform that enables conversations and feedback, is for people living in North Somerset and we are very grateful to everyone who takes the time to respond. Please share the link across your networks to help us reach as many people as possible.

Your views on what has happened, and what you think is needed, will help VANS, and our partners, to plan the best way forward.

Commonplace will be live until the end of June 2021 and responses will be analysed on receipt and used to inform ongoing work with a number of COVID response organisations.

Please do Have Your Say, and help us to reach as many people as possible by sharing this consultation with your networks.
