Message from North Somerset Council Consultations

A referendum was held on the Abbots Leigh, Ham Green, Pill and Easton-in-Gordano Neighbourhood Plan on 23 September 2021.

The referendum vote was 81.34% in favour of the neighbourhood plan.

As this is more than the 51% needed to pass the referendum, the plan will now go before Council on 9 November to be formally “made”.

The neighbourhood plan will then become part of the council’s development plan along with the adopted North Somerset Core Strategy, Development Management Plan and Site Allocations Plan. These contain policies and proposals to help guide planning applications in North Somerset. The Abbots Leigh, Ham Green Pill and Easton-in-Gordano Neighbourhood Plan will help to guide development proposals within the Abbots Leigh and Pill and Easton-in-Gordano Parish areas.

The declaration of results can be found on our referendum page.
